Scottie Dog Animation
1) Open Photoshop 6.0. Create a 400 x 400 pixel
with transparent background window. Open Safari to
this site to use as a guide.
2) Select two diverse colors. The more variety in color, the more you
will be able to select separate squares.
3) Using the polygon tool, draw the outline of the scottie dog.
Don't worry about it being perfect.
4) With the dog selected, go to Edit/Fill with the foreground tool.
5) Put the picture in colorful pixel form.
Filter/Pixelate/Pointilize. (cell size , 5)
Filter/Pixelate/Color Halftone. (default setting - max radius ,
8)
Filter/Pixelate/Mosaic. (cell size , 5)
6) Layer/Duplicate Layer. Use the Magic Wand Tool to randomly
select a square then delete it. Do several then repeat this step until
you have several layers. Be sure to hide the previous layer by clicking
on the eyeball so that you can see your deletions.
7) Jump to ImageReady and create the animation.
