The new photo is pasted onto a new layer.

Now let's hide it and smudge it back into the photo.
>Layer
>Add Layer Mask
> Hide All

Your new image disappears completely. It is still there, but the black mask is hiding it.
Make sure that white is your foreground color.
Get a large soft brush.
Make a guess as to where the face or whatever is located and start to paint in a circle to increase the area you want to show.
You may want to decrease the opacity of the new layer.
If you make a mistake you can go to your tools palate and switch the black to the foreground color and paint over where you went too far. If you really mess up, just drag the mask to the trash in the layers palate and start with a new black layer.
Save your work. Note: When your collage is complete, you need to save you photo for the web.
