Create a segment on the lower parallel line.
1. Open your sketchpad document.

First let's dim the lines so we can see our base.
2. Select the Selection Arrow Tool.

3. Select both lines.
>Display
>Line Width
>Dashed
Click anywhere on the document (except the lines) to deselect the segments.

4. Select the segment of Straightedge Tool.


5. Carefully create a segment on the lower parallel line. Be sure the endpoints are attached to the line, not off the line.

6. With the segment still selected make the segment thick and a new color.
>Display
>Line Width
>Thick

>Display
>Color
>Choose a color

The base of our triangles is created.

Next, we will create the yellow triangle.
