Tweening the Fish

If your fish was not created in the library, do this.
If your fish are all nicely created and ready in the library, open the library window and...
1 ) In the scene layer, create a layer for each fish or each school of fish you bring into the coral scene.

>Insert > Layer. Name it. Keep it selected. Lock all the other layers.

Hide all the other layers and just focus on the fish. To hide a layer, click on the eye box on the layer you wish to hide. Don't worry, it isn't gone for good, just out the way while we work.

2 ) With the library Window open and the fish you wish to tween in the window, drag the fish to the stage.
Move the fish off the stage.

3 )Click on frame 50 of the fish layer.

4) >Insert > Key frame. Your background disappears, but don't worry. We will add it back in step 11.

5 ) With frame 50 selected, move the fish to the other side of the stage.

6 )Click on the fish layer - frame 25.

7 ) >Insert
>Timeline
>Create Motion Tween

8 ) Now let's test it. >Control > Test Movie.
The background disappears. See instructions below

Adding the background to all the frames.

9 ) Turn on all the layers of the background and play the movie.

Hmm.... it show the background for a fraction of a second and then disappears. We need to extend the background.
10) Click on frame 50 of a background layer. >Insert >Timeline>Frame. And then the background will appear throughout the movie.

11 ) Do step 10 to all the layers and play the movie.
12 ) Save your work.

Moving the fish layer

The fish swims through the scene at the front. It looks funny. Let's move the fish so it swims between the coral.
13) Select the fish layer by clicking on it then hold the mouse down and drag the fish layer down. It may take a couple of tries as it is a bit particular about where it is selected.

Test your movie.
14)Save your work.
