Creating the Sine BG |
| Open Illustrator. Create a 612x792 pt CMYK document. Name it sine. Make sure you have copied the shared trig folder contents to your trig folder. |
| 1) The gradient background. Create two 600x50 rectangles. Place one at the top of the document and one at the bottom. Fill the top rectangle with a light color and no stroke. Fill the bottom rectangle with a darker shade and no stroke. >Select All. Select the blending tool. Click on the top rectangle and then the bottom rectangle. >Object >Lock >Selection |
| 2) The dancing girl. >File >Place the dancing.psd onto your document. Move it where you want it. >Object >Live Trace >Tracing Options Choose Simple trace from the drop down preset menu. |
| 3) The target. Open target.ai >Select >All >Edit >Copy Paste it onto your sine.ai document. Move it where you want it. Make sure it is still Selected. >Object >Live Paint > Make Select the color red for fill and no stroke. Select the Live Paint Bucket tool. Fill the the outer, middle and inner rings with red. Select the no fill. Fill the other two rings. >Window >Transparency Show the options. Select Overlay from the drop down menu. >Select >All >Oject >Lock>Selection. Save it as sine.ai. Don't save for the web until all the sine information is on it. |
